The Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event is the first official event of the game since its full launch, and it\u2019s the kind where players can grab the new champion, Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover, free of cost. This rifle girl can take down enemies with kicks and ground smashes, while also targeting their weak spots from afar, making her a great pick for fights.
To join the Caitlyn Champion Recruitment Event, simply head to the Play section and jump into matches. You\u2019ll need 10,000 XP to unlock Caitlyn for free in 2XKO and complete her entire recruitment track.
Because casual matches don\u2019t reward much XP on their own, they shouldn\u2019t be the main focus. The best way to clear the event is by finishing missions tied to matches, such as dealing more damage or recovering health (check the Missions Tab for details), as these grant a generous amount of experience points. The event runs from January 22 to February 19, 2026. After it ends, Caitlyn can only be grabbed like other champions by spending 10,000 Green Credits.
