Fortunately, one tipster states that the minimum clock speed for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will be 5.00GHz, and that will likely be achieved with specialized heat dissipation technology already present on an existing silicon.The use of Samsung\u2019s Heat Pass Block, which is employed on the Exynos 2600, is expected to be applied to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro to reach that minimum 5.00GHz threshold
On Weibo, Fixed-focus digital cameras is slowing obtaining specifications belonging to the next-generation chipsets that will arrive in the second half of 2026. Qualcomm is rumored to introduce two versions, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro expected to perform better with its higher-tweaked performance cores while also providing support for upgrades like LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage.
However, the tipster also mentions that the \u2018minimum guaranteed clock speed might be 5.00GHz,\u2019 with the initial testing phase showing a range of 5.50GHz to 6.00GHz. Now, even though Fixed-focus digital cameras hasn\u2019t specifically mentioned Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, we believe to some degree of certainty that this is the chipset in question. If we look at the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, its performance cores can reach 4.61GHz.

Given Apple\u2019s tendency to focus on efficiency and architectural changes rather than raw performance, we doubt the A20 and A20 Pro will be tested with clock speeds of 5.00GHz.
Also, in case you didn\u2019t notice, Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme is marketed to reach up to 5.00GHz, so if this wasn\u2019t a big enough hint that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro could be tweaked to obtain the same results, then we don\u2019t know what will.
