\nCatherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek\u201d co-stars are heartbroken over the Hollywood icon\u2019s sudden death at age 71.
\u201cWhat a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s brilliance for all those years,\u201d Dan Levy, who created the show and played O\u2019Hara\u2019s son David, wrote on Instagram Friday alongside two photos of himself with the actress.
\u201cHaving spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her.\u201d
He added that his heart went out to O\u2019Hara\u2019s husband, Bo Welch, sons, Matthew and Luke, and the rest of her family.
Jennifer Robertson, who played Jocelyn Schitt on the sitcom, also told The Post: \u201cI am deeply saddened to hear we have lost Catherine. Being in Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s orbit was a beautiful, magical gift. She was an absolute star who never understood why people made such a fuss about her.
\u201cHer passing is a loss for everyone who knew and loved her. My deepest condolences to Bo, her sons and the O\u2019Hara family.\u201d
Co-stars from the actress\u2019 other legendary works like \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d and \u201cHome Alone\u201d have also mourned the loss of O\u2019Hara in the time since her passing.
O\u2019Hara starred in \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek\u201d for all six seasons from 2015 to 2020. The sitcom followed a wealthy couple, Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Moira (O\u2019Hara), and their two kids, Alexis (Annie Murphy) and David (Dan), who lose all their money and are forced to live out of a motel in a small town.
In 2020, the beloved project swept the Emmys and in 2021, all of the cast once again went home winners at the Golden Globes.
Over the years there have been rumblings of a \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek\u201d movie or reboot happening.
O\u2019Hara was asked about the possibility of having the Roses reunite on screen in 2024, to which she told People, \u201cI would love to [do it]. We did a bit of a tour after we finished the show, and it was so much fun.\u201d
\u201cI\u2019d love to just be with them all again,\u201d she added. \u201cDoing a movie would be wonderful. Yeah, I hope it happens.\u201d
Dan previously spoke about getting the gang back together in 2022.
\u201cMy hope is that one day we can all get together. I see these people all the time. We\u2019re in constant contact with each other,\u201d he told People at the time. \u201cSo the love is there. The desire to work together is there, and the desire to tell more stories is there.\u201d

The Los Angeles Fire Department exclusively told us that they responded to a call at the \u201cHome Alone\u201d star\u2019s house at 4:48 a.m. local time before transporting her to the hospital in \u201cserious\u201d condition.
A cause of death has yet to be disclosed, though she was experiencing \u201cbreathing difficulty\u201d in her final hours, according to 911 dispatch audio obtained by Page Six.
