Going into the 2026 Grammy Awards, there was plenty of history to be made \u2014 with Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga among the evening\u2019s most-nominated artists, and a buzzy field of Best New Artist nominees including Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, and Victorious alum Leon Thomas. And whether or not your fave took home top honors, unexpected moments abounded.

Early into the ceremony, Sabrina Carpenter donned a flirty fight attendant \u2018fit for a lively performance of \u201cManchild.\u201d Her impassioned choreo \u2014 which including navigating a moving baggage carousel like a pro \u2014 inspired celebrities in the audience to dance along, including Jeff Goldblum and his wife Emilie Livingston.
Viewers couldn\u2019t get enough of the playful moment. As one perfectly put it: \u201cSabrina Carpenter\u2019s mic is ON and Jeff Goldblum is SWAYING spectacle is BACK.\u201d

While accepting the Best M\u00fasica Urbana Album award for Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos, Bad Bunny used his speech to call out ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in the wake of the agency\u2019s ramped-up operations, and the recent killings of Ren\u00e9e Good and Alex Pretti.
\u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say: ICE out,\u201d began the musician \u2014 voicing a sentiment that was also expressed in pins worn by several of his fellow Grammy-goers. \u201cWe\u2019re not savage, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens, we are humans. And we are Americans.\u201d
Later in his speech, Bad Bunny told viewers that \u201cthe only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.\u201d
His message not only received a standing ovation at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, but resonated with viewers at home, too. Several fans said they were left in tears. One viewer called Bad Bunny\u2019s speech \u201cone of the highlights of the evening\u201d and \u201cso f*cking important,\u201d and another praised him for \u201cusing his platform exactly the right way,\u201d expressing their desire for other artists to do the same.
After performing a beautifully stripped-down version of \u201cMessy\u201d earlier in the evening, Lola Young took home the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance \u2014 her first win ever, and a major feat in a category stacked with Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, and Justin Bieber.
True to her hit song\u2019s name, Young\u2019s win was delightfully chaotic \u2014 from her sheer surprise at hearing her name announced, to her use of the word \u201cf*cking\u201d accidentally making it to air. \u201cI love her so bad and her speech was so fun actually,\u201d one fan wrote. \u201cShe\u2019s the cutest.\u201d
\u201cLola Young’s reaction is probably the best reaction for winning a Grammy that I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d said one viewer, with another pointing out: \u201cLola Young definitely was not expecting that win her reaction was so genuine I\u2019m happy for her !!!\u201d
