Savannah Guthrie’s brother, Camron Guthrie, spoke out about mom Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance earlier in February 2026<\/b>
\nSavannah Guthrie\u2018s brother, Camron Guthrie, has spoken out amid mom Nancy Guthrie\u2019s continued disappearance.
\u201cThis is Camron Guthrie and I\u2019m speaking for the Guthrie family,\u201d Camron said in a video shared via Savannah\u2019s Instagram page on Thursday, February 5. \u201cWhoever it out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you. We haven\u2019t heard anything directly. We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward. But first, we have to know if you have our mom. We want to talk to you and we are waiting for contact.\u201d
Nancy, 84, was reported missing earlier in February, with local Arizona law enforcement officers revealing she was last seen on January 31.
\u201cOn behalf of our family we want to thank all of you for the prayers for our beloved mom, Nancy,\u201d Savannah, 54, said in a video with her siblings, Annie and Camron, shared via Instagram on February 4. \u201cWe feel them and we continue to believe that she feels them too. Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light. She is funny, spunky and clever.\u201d
The Today show host continued, \u201cShe has grandchildren who adore her and crowd around her and cover her with kisses. She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge.\u201d
Savannah and her siblings subsequently acknowledged the $50,000 ransom reward in exchange for Nancy\u2019s safe return.
\u201cAs a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated,\u201d Savannah said. \u201cWe need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us.\u201d
Savannah concluded the emotional video with a message to her mother.
\u201cMommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God\u2019s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that even in this valley, He is with you,\u201d Savannah stated. \u201cEveryone is looking for you, Mommy, everywhere. We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again. We speak to you every moment. And we pray without ceasing, and we rejoice in advance that the day that we hold you in our arms again. We love you, Mom.\u201d
There are no current suspects in Nancy\u2019s disappearance, though local police believe that she might have been kidnapped.
\u201cSomething unusual at that house occurred that made us go, \u2018Wow, something\u2019s wrong here. Something doesn\u2019t fit,\u2019\u201d Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos exclusively told Us Weekly on February 2. \u201cWe\u2019re gonna pull all the stops and go at all angles. We really do hope it\u2019s a search-and-rescue mission and we find her and she\u2019s safe and sound. But it would be unjust if we didn\u2019t look at what\u2019s in front of us and go, \u2018We need to act.\u2019\u201d
Nanos added, \u201cThis is an 84-year-old lady who is safe in her own home asleep, and she is taken. And that should never happen.\u201d
Earlier on Thursday, an arrest was made by the FBI for an \u201cimposter ransom demand.\u201d
\u201cWe have made one arrest related to an imposter ransom demand, and a complaint will be presented to a magistrate judge later today,\u201d FBI Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Heith Janke said during a press conference. \u201cYou will get more on that from the FBI and our U.S. Attorney\u2019s office here in Arizona when it becomes available.\u201d
Janke also revealed in the press conference details about the alleged ransom note including a deadline.
\u201cFirst, I think [it] was 5 p.m. today, and then it had a second deadline after that,\u201d he said. \u201cSo we are continuing in a normal kidnapping case, there would be contact by now trying to discuss that. But those are the time frames we\u2019re looking at as we move forward.\u201d
In light of Nancy\u2019s disappearance, Savannah has taken a hiatus from Today and her planned duties covering the 2026 Winter Olympics for NBC.
\u201cOn behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support,\u201d Savannah said in a February 2 statement shared via Today. \u201cRight now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department.\u201d
Nancy shared Savannah, Annie and Camron with her late husband, Charles Guthrie, who died in 1988 after a heart attack. He was 49.<\/p>\n
