$\"NewsHub\"$ After the biggest drawn-out shock in US political history, Donald Trump will be sworn in as 45 th President of the United States of America today, Friday 20 January. We imagine the whole world will be watching. But how can it do so?
Trump will be sworn in as President today, Friday 20 January in Washington DC. Every living former President will be there with their respective wives \u2013 so that includes Hillary Clinton with Bill. Drama.
Current President Barack Obama will also oversee the transfer of power as Trump lays a hand on Abraham Lincoln\u2019s bible to swear the famous oath.
The world will begin tuning in at 4pm GMT , as that will be 11am over in Washington DC.
Luckily it\u2019s pretty easy to watch the inauguration in the UK as BBC One and ITV 1 are both showing it live.
BBC 1 \u2019s coverage will begin at 4pm GMT and run till 6pm.
ITV 1 \u2019s coverage will also begin at 4pm GMT and run till 6pm.
You can also watch extended coverage from 3pm to 7pm on the BBC News Channel .
If you\u2019re not near a TV at 4pm GMT on Friday then you could tune in at your desk or at home. Both BBC and ITV are showing it, but it\u2019s easier to watch on the BBC as you don\u2019t have to sign into iPlayer \u2013 you do have to sign in to watch ITV live (but it\u2019s free).
