The company has gone from strength to strength with its impressive design philosophy and great value for money in its smartphones, and it’s looking to continue that trend with the Huawei P10 in 2017. While the smartphone is yet to be announced, here is where you’ll find all the latest details on the Huawei P10 UK release date, pricing, design, features, spec and software rumours. If a live stream is available it will likely be broadcast on its YouTube press page and we will embed it to the top of this page, but if not there’s good news. Bookmark us now, and return at 2pm local time (1pm UK time) on Sunday 26 February for more details.
Release date: February 26 2017, during Mobile World Congress
So, when will we see the upcoming Huawei P10 released in the UK? While we originally thought that Huawei’s 2017 flagship wouldn’t appear until slightly later in the year, possibly around April like its predecessor, Huawei has sent out invites to a presentation in Barcelona on 26 February, the day before MWC 2017 (Mobile World Congress) is due to begin.
Huawei says that the presentation will be “the global unveiling of a new flagship device” and while that can also be interpreted as a new Huawei brand (like the mid-range Nova and Nova Plus announced at IFA 2016), we imagine it’ll be the next iteration of Huawei’s hugely popular P-range. A pre-MWC 2017 announcement is a great idea too, as other companies including Samsung and LG have similar presentations to unveil their flagships the day before MWC begins, giving all mobile manufacturers an even playing field going into the show.
While there’s no suggestion on the price of the Huawei P10, looking at the launch price of the 2016 Huawei P9, we imagine that the Huawei P10 will cost somewhere between £449-500.
Also see: Best Phone Deals
Just a few days ahead of its suspected launch we get the best image yet of the Huawei P10, via @evleaks .
With such an impressive history when it comes to smartphone design, Huawei’s P10 will no doubt impress fans. While we’d usually speculate as to what the smartphone will look like, a recent leak showcases the front of the Huawei P10. If true, the leaked photo suggests that while the general form factor of the P10 will be like that of the P9, there are a few notable changes.
This includes the fingerprint scanner being moved from the rear to the front of the device, embedded within the Home button like the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Edition. It’s an interesting move from Huawei as we, and many other Huawei fans, enjoy the out-of-the-ordinary fingerprint scanner placement and feel that it’s more convenient in certain situations than one built into the Home button of a smartphone. However when compared to recently leaked renders, there are a few differences.
A leaked render from Weibo seems to suggest that as with the P9 and P9 Plus, there will be a small and large version of the P10 with slightly different looks and specifications — the Huawei P10, and Huawei P10 Plus. The leaked images tie in with the most recently leaked render , which in addition to showing off the Huawei P10, shows the P10 Plus with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, a dual-camera at the rear, and a dual-curved-edge screen.
Only weeks before the reveal, a series of tweets posted by Huawei Mobile suggested that the upcoming P10 will be available in a range of colours, ranging from the rather standard navy blue or gold, to the rather striking olive green. You can see the tweets below:
However, along with showcasing the various colour options, Huawei also tweeted a 20-second teaser video which can be found below.
Did you see it? You’ll be forgiven if not. The official hashtag (#00) was also used to promote the launch of the 2016 flagship, the P9, which featured a dual-lens camera. Back then it had the slogan «change the way you see the world» and referred to the new camera setup and the photos you’ll take.
This time, eyes have been added to the image, and the slogan is now «change the way the world sees you». Could this suggest a front-facing dual camera setup? While some may suggest so, we think it hints at a built-in iris scanner alongside an improved front-facing camera, offering higher security for users.
Following the above teasers from Huawei, notorious smartphone leaker Evan Blass tweeted images of what appear to be marketing material for the upcoming Huawei P10 in three colours: Blue, gold and green. For a better look at the colour options, take a look at the embedded tweet below:
Incredibly, that’s not all. As well as the above leaks, a number of real-life photos of the upcoming P10 have surfaced online, leaked by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). The photos don’t really confirm anything we didn’t know — sporting a similar design to the P9 with a relocated fingerprint scanner, horizontal dual cameras and a USB-C port.
There are also a few photos of the internals of the upcoming smartphone, showing off Huawei’s own Kirin 960 CPU.
Read next: Best Android smartphone of 2017
So, most importantly, what will the Huawei P10 offer? While nobody can say for sure until the pre-MWC 2017 presentation in February, there have been a number of rumours and leaks that showcase certain features of the upcoming flagship.
In terms of display, the most recent rumours suggest that the Huawei P10 will feature a 5.5in display with a QHD resolution, although we’re slightly sceptical about this as Huawei has traditionally steered away from high-resolution displays, opting instead to improve the screen technology to provide a better image. There’s also talk of a curved display like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design, and that can just about be seen in the image above.
But what about the internals? According to both a leaked benchmark and a Weibo post , the upcoming P10 will feature the same octa-core Kirin 960 processor as is what’s featured in the Huawei Mate 9, with either 4 or 6GB of RAM. This could be due to two different versions of the phone, or simply be a mistake. Along with the Kirin 960, fans can expect to find the Mali G71 GPU.
In terms of camera, the P10 will almost certainly feature a dual-camera setup (and that has been visible in all the leaked images so far). The P9 was the first Huawei smartphone to feature the dual-lens setup, and the company has continued the trend with the Huawei Mate 9. A leaked benchmark points towards a 12Mp rear camera and an 8Mp front facing camera and although there’s no dual-lens mention, the megapixel counts are the same as the P9.
We’re surprised at the 12Mp leak as the recently released Mate 9 offers an upgraded dual-camera setup with a 12Mp colour and 20Mp monochrome sensor, and it’d be counter-productive for Huawei’s 2017 flagship to have a less impressive camera than one that was announced in 2016.
It has also been suggested that the Huawei P10 will feature the same quick charging technology as the OnePlus 3, although the source is relatively unknown so we’re taking this one with a pinch of salt — especially as Huawei bundled in its own quick charging technology with the Mate 9 — but we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
Assuming that the Huawei P10 will be made available in the UK relatively quickly following its MWC 2017 announcement, the smartphone should come packing Android Nougat, the latest iteration of Google’s Android operating system. However, more importantly, logic suggests it’ll also feature EMUI 5, the latest iteration of Huawei’s Android skin announced alongside the Huawei Mate 9 in November 2016.
EMUI 5 is a complete overhaul of Huawei’s Emotion UI, offering a much cleaner, simpler-to-use experience with the option to choose between having an App Tray or an iOS-esque Home screen experience. It should also bring impressive performance gains to the device after continued use, as Huawei claims that smart machine learning will improve the performance of the device beyond how it performed when it was brand new.
Read next: Best custom Android UIs of 2017

Similarity rank: 1.1

© Source: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/new-product/mobile-phone/huawei-p10-launch-live-huawei-p10-uk-release-date-price-spec-rumours-live-3652982/
All rights are reserved and belongs to a source media.

The Huawei P10 will likely be announced today at MWC 2017.
