Microsoft is constantly updating and improving its System Center Configuration Manager software. More than a year ago, the company released version 1511 of its System Center Configuration Manager, optimizing it for Windows 10 , and transitioning to Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Since then, it has received numerous updates , which have added new features such as Cloud Management Gateway, enhancements in the Software Center, and remote control optimization, among other things. Recently, Microsoft also added support for Apple’s macOS Sierra in System Center Configuration Manager.
Now, the company has released version 1701 of the Technical Preview branch of System Center Configuration Manager .
As with the nomenclature of the version numbers for various other software products from Microsoft, build 1701 refers to the time of release as well – “17” corresponds to the year 2017, and “01” coincides with the first month January.
