Since its release, Overwatch has been a phenomenal success. While Blizzard has added new content, a map editor remains on the long-term roadmap for the game according to game director Jeff Kaplan.
A few years ago, it almost appeared like Blizzard was stagnating, churning out expansions for World of Warcraft and relying on sequels to its aging IPs like Diabl o and StarCraft. But in 2014, the developer stunned the gaming community with its unveiling of an original IP, Overwatch.
Since then, the title has accumulated numerous accolades, including garnering an impressive amount of players in its first month and also taking top honors at The Game Awards.
