Is sorry enough?
United Airlines apologized Monday following a scene on an overbooked flight caught on videos — which have gone viral — in which a man is being dragged from his seat through the aisle of a plane.
CEO Oscar Munoz said in a statement, “I apologize for having to re-accommodate these customers. Our team is moving with a sense of urgency to work with authorities and conduct our own detailed review of what happened.”
The incident took place on flight 3411 April 9 from Chicago to Louisville, which was overbooked. United confirmed: “After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate.”
