HBO has hired four writers to look at four different possible spinoffs of “Game of Thrones, ” according to Variety .
Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”) , Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”) , Brian Helgeland (“Legend”) and Carly Wray (“Mad Men, ” “The Leftovers”) have all been brought on, the outlet reported.
Goldman and Wray will both be working with book author George R. Martin on their pitches.

“We’ ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in, ” a spokesperson told Variety.
While very few details have been leaked about the spinoffs, HBO told Entertainment Weekly that they’ ll “explore different time periods of George R. Martin’s vast and rich universe.”
“Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, as well as Martin, are expected to serve as executive producers on the new shows.
The seventh and penultimate season of “Game of Thrones” premieres July 16 .
