A day after releasing a new round of developer betas, Apple has seeded new public betas of iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and tvOS 11. The updates are slated to arrive next month.
A day after Apple seeded the fifth developer betas of iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11, the fourth public betas are now available (with the exception of watchOS 4, for which there is no public beta) .
The new iOS 11 build contains a few minor changes, such as modified icons for Settings and Camera, and there are also some changes to widgets in the Control Center. Also, Messages in iCloud has been removed from this beta, and won’t be coming back until a „future software update to iOS 11“.
There aren’t a whole lot of changes in the new macOS High Sierra build, but there’s a new issue where APFS volumes with it installed can’t be selected as a Startup Disk on Macs running an earlier version of the OS. Older APFS issues still exist, such as that it’s not supported on HDD-only devices or iMacs with 3TB Fusion drives and BootCamp.
Finally, there aren’t any big changes in the new beta of tvOS 11, mainly because there aren’t any big features coming in the update. There are still some issues with the Sling TV and FoxNow apps though.
All of Apple’s major software updates are slated to arrive late next month, but we’ll likely see GM seeds after the new iPhone is announced.
