Karina Smirnoff and Gilles Marini are split on whether Trump’s outcasts should be “Dancing with the Stars” contestants.
The whole country is in an uproar over the revolving door policy in Trump’s White House. But “Dancing with the Stars” castmates Karina Smirnoff and Gilles Marini are not in step when it comes to letting Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci and Steve Bannon try and do PR damage control on the dance floor.
Gilles Marini, for one, is tired of doing spin for disgraced celebs.
“I am a bit tired of making stupid people famous, because I do not think it is going to bring anything positive to this world, ” he told us at the launch of his colleague Karina Smirnoff’s Karina Collection at the Sofitel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, Ca.
Gilles hopes that Trump will be out of the White House by 2020 and no, he wouldn’t relish seeing the POTUS do the two step on the show, adding, “I would rather see his wife dancing.”
Sean Spicer reportedly declines ‘Dancing with the Stars’ offer
Smirnoff, however, thinks there should be plenty of room for public officials to show us a softer side on her ABC show.
“Sometimes we think we know the person that we see on TV, but until we actually get to meet them and spend time with them and invest a little bit more time than just five minutes that we see on the screen, we get to realize our initial perception of them is not fully correct, ” she told us. “I feel like ‘Dancing with the Stars” gives the opportunity for people to get to know people better.”
She’s already chosen her partner should Spice, Bannon and the Mooch join the show.
“If I had to pick between the three, I would pick Sean Spicer, ” she said. “He has a great sense of humor.”
‘Dancing with the Stars’ reportedly wants Sean Spicer
She even thinks that President Trump could tango on the show after he leaves the White House.
