Not only did an 11-year-old boy land a pretty decent gig in mowing the White House lawn Friday, but he got a tour of the capital, Oval Office and received a greeting from President Donald Trump while hard at work.
Not only did an 11-year-old boy land a pretty decent gig in mowing the White House lawn Friday, but he got a tour of the capital, Oval Office and received a greeting from President Donald Trump while hard at work.
The Associated Press reports Frank Giaccio, who goes by FX, lives in Falls Church, Virginia and ended up with the White House lawn-mowing job after writing Trump. The 11-year-old said he admires Trump’s business acumen in the letter, and spoke of how he runs his own lawn-care business.
While he typically charges $8 per lawn, FX took care of the Rose Garden for free.
FX said his day was full of interviews with the press, watering plants, mowing the lawn and touring the grounds with his dad, according to A. P.

A. P. reports FX was so focused on his work in the Rose Garden that he didn’t notice Trump come outside to greet the 11-year-old hard at work. The boy, dressed in khaki shorts and a red polo, kept right on working as the president walked alongside him.
Once FX stopped for the president, the two talked about what the “future of the country” wanted to do once he grows up.
“A Navy seal!” Trump said. “Well, he’ll make it.”
