" Any threat to the United States or its territories, including Guam or our allies, will be met with a massive military response, " Defense Secretary James Mattis said
Hours after North Korea claimed a “perfect success” for its most powerful nuclear test so far, U. S. Defense Secretary James Mattis said that any threat to the U. S. “will be met with a massive military response.”
“Any threat to the United States or its territories, including Guam or our allies, will be met with a massive military response. A response both effective and overwhelming, ” Mattis said in a statement delivered from the White House Sunday afternoon.
“Kim Jong Un should take heed the United Nation’s Security Council’s unified voice, ” he said, referring to North Korea’s leader.
Mattis also said that all U. N. Security Council members have agreed on the threat North Korea poses, and that “they remain unanimous in their commitment to the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.”
