US journalist Edward Klein, former editor-in-chief of New York Times Magazine and author of multiple bestsellers, discussed the new explosive sexual misconduct allegations by four women against former US President Bill Clinton with Radio Sputnik’s Fault Lines Tuesday.
According to Klein, important Democratic Party sources and an official who served in both the Clinton and Obama administrations have confirmed these new charges of sexual assault. A member of Clinton’s legal team recently told Klein, “obviously, I’m aware of [the allegations], but can’t talk about them.”
Four women claim the former president, no stranger to sexual misconduct allegations, sexually assaulted them after leaving the presidency when he worked for the playboy billionaire investor Ron Burkle at his Yucaipa companies. Clinton has faced sexual misconduct allegations throughout his career, including during his tenure as Arkansas governor, during his presidential campaign and while in the White House.
“After he left the White House in 2001, Bill Clinton became a business partner with billionaire Ron Burkle. During that time he flew around Burkle’s plane and during that period of time, Bill Clinton assaulted four different women who were in their late teens and who worked for Burkle. They have been in touch with each other ever since. Three of these women are married and one is a nurse in Afghanistan,” Klein told hosts Garland Nixon and Lee Stranahan.
Clinton helped Burkle with his business and reportedly flew around the world with young women on Burkle’s private jet, which was given the nickname “Air F**k One.” The four unidentified women were working low-level positions at the Burkle organization at the time the offenses are alleged to have occurred. However, there is no evidence that Burkle knew about the misconduct allegations against Clinton.
“These assaults took place some time between 2001 and 2003 or 2004, so we are talking more than 10 years ago. Because of the Harvey Weinstein scandal these women have decided to come forward. They’re all lawyered-up and are threatening to sue the former president unless he will settle with them for a substantial payout,” Klein explained.
The hosts agreed that Clinton will most definitely “mail the checks” to these women as that is how he has handled previous sexual allegations against him. In the late 1990s, for example, Clinton paid $850,000 to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee.
When asked about details, Klein responded, “I have only one specificity of the allegations. One of the four women said that she was treated very roughly by Bill Clinton and that he grabbed her and roughly and painfully squeezed one of her nipples until she cried out and then he cupped her mouth with his hand and told her that she better shut up.” The woman also accused the former president of forcibly penetrating her.
Klein said he had been told by a Democratic Party official who is familiar with this case that Clinton is distraught at the thought of having to defend himself against sex charges again in court. “He hopes his legal team can somehow stop the women from filing charges and drag him through the mud.”
In addition, the anonymous official also claimed that Hillary Clinton is angry with her husband for being involved in another scandal and was tempted to hire a team of detectives to find dirt on the women until her husband’s attorneys convinced her otherwise, according to an exclusive article written by Klein and recently published by the Daily Mail.
The source also admitted that “in the past, Hillary had a team of detectives that managed to silence a number of women in Little Rock who had complaints about Bill’s unwanted sexual advances. But now Hillary admits there’s a different atmosphere in our culture about sexual harassment and it’s not possible to intimidate women into silence about charges once they make up their mind to speak out.”
“Hillary wants to remain in the public eye as a leader of the resistance to [US President] Donald Trump and play a major role in politics for years to come, including maybe even running for president again in 2020. She’s afraid this latest scandal could destroy the Clinton legacy and torpedo her plans. The relationship between Bill and Hillary has been more of a business relationship for a number of years except when it comes to their daughter and grandchildren. They haven’t lived as man and wife for a number of years, mostly due to Bill’s running around with other women,” the source adds.
Klein also discussed his new book, “All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump,” in which he argues for the existence of a “deep state,” which he describes as an organized movement to interfere with the president’s policy decisions and deliberately set up leaks to attack the president by creating and spreading lies.
