Chinese officials warned prospective thrill-seekers on Tuesday not to livestream their stunts, in the wake of the fatal fall by one of the country’s most famous daredevils.
Wu Yongning, 26,- who gained fame for posting hair-raising videos on social media- plunged 62 flights down the side of a building while attempting to film a risky stunt.
State media outlet People’s Daily called for stronger supervision of livestreaming apps.
“There should be a bottom line for livestreaming platforms, and supervision should leave no loopholes,” ran a comment in the online edition of the People’s Daily, Reuters reported.
Officials also warned people looking to make it big on social media by recording risky stunts.
