The new Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator DLC will put players in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s shoes by being focused on the 1987 action film Predator
A new Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator DLC puts you in the shoes of Arnold Schwarzenegger as you’re stalked through the jungles of Bolivia by the universe’s greatest hunter. The update, which comes out tomorrow on December 14, will also offer new weapons, a new close combat move, and some new clothes.
The new DLC includes a new game mode where players can hunt for the Predator either alone or with three friends, and defeating it will give them a variety of new goodies. These include the Predator’s mask, which gives you thermal vision. Players will also get the Predator’s trademark wristblades, but we don’t really know what else will be available.
Ubisoft will hopefully go all-out and give the Predator all of its best tools, such as the plasma caster, its cloaking device, and its Predator vision, but there’s no guarantee. Either way, hopefully the mode will be fun and challenging, provided that whoever gets the role of the Predator will be good at it.
In addition to the Predator hunting event, players will also get a new character out of the Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator DLC. A new character for Ghost Wars will be entering the fray, based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Dutch from the first Predator movie.
There’s no telling how long the Predator hunting event will go on for; whether it will be some permanent game mode much like the Ghost Wars or just a brief but fun multiplayer diversion remains to be seen. Hopefully, if it’s popular enough, Ubisoft will make the mode stick.
But even if it doesn’t stick, hopefully it’ll still be something that people will keep talking about, and might even want back at some point. The Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator DLC and Predator Event will both be starting tomorrow, December 14, on all platforms.
