After announcing a temporary price cut of Rs.2,000 last week, Xiaomi today announced a permanent Rs.1,000 price cut for the Mi A1 Android One smartphone in India. The smartphone will now retail at Rs.13,999 in India via Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, as well as Xiaomi Preferred Partner stores. It also receives monthly security patch updates on a regular basis, unlike most of its rivals. In addition to the latest Android security patch, the OTA update also includes other stability and performance-related enhancements.
