Hizzoner will be part of a group of mayors who will meet with Trump to discuss infrastructure issues, City Hall said Tuesday.
De Blasio — who has spent much of the last year blasting Trump over his tax bill, immigration policies and other issues — will be in the capital for a meeting of the U. S. Conference of Mayors, which will be held Thursday.
The mayor sat down with Trump while he was president-elect for a meeting in Trump Tower, but they have not come face to face since. Trump did call the mayor after a deadly terrorist attack on a bike path along the West Side Highway.

Infrastructure has been one area that mayors — and New Yorkers — have hoped to find common ground with Trump, a resident of Manhattan familiar with the city’s infrastructure woes. But the President has made little progress on his promised $1 trillion plan, and his administration has backed away from prior agreements to help fund a desperately needed new rail tunnel under the Hudson River, known as the Gateway project.
After news site Axios reported it had obtained a leaked version of the plan this week, the Trump administration said it looked forward to rolling it out in the near future.
The issue has become especially critical in New York as the city and state grapple with a transit system in crisis — including a subway plagued with delays and cross-Hudson tunnels with problems that routinely disrupt NJ Transit and Amtrak travel into Pennsylvania Station.
