The lawsuit is not explicitly about Damore’s memo. Instead, Damore and another former engineer are suing the tech giant for not sufficiently protecting its employees. The two are asking for compensation of some kind, as well as an injunction against Google for its perceived discrimination. According to TIME, a Google spokesperson said in a statement, “We look forward to defending against Mr. Damore’s lawsuit in court.”
