Here’s how you can save other’s Instagram Stories on your smartphone without taking a screenshot or recording the screen.
If you are someone who’s active on social media, then you must be aware of Instagram. Yes, that Facebook-owned photo (and video) sharing platform where people share tons of photos everyday by applying different photo filters. Well, Instagram is undoubtedly a very popular app for sharing your photos. However, back in August 2016, Instagram introduced a new feature called Instagram Stories.
With Instagram Stories, users can share photos and videos with their followers that disappear automatically after 24 hours. Well, Instagram is not the first to come up with such a feature. Snapchat is. And, the Instagram Stories feature is actually a clone of Snapchat Stories. However, even if it’s a clone, we still like this feature as it lets us share different moments from our day-to-day life with our friends.
When someone you follow shares an Instagram Story, it appears in the Stories bar (see image above) that’s located at the top of your feed. You can view that Story as many times as you want before it disappears, and, can also post reply to the Story which is sent to the person who posted it through Direct Messages. However, there’s no way you can save other’s Instagram Stories on your smartphone, at least there’s no such option in Instagram’s official app. Of course, you can always take a screenshot of it or screen record it, but, that can get you in trouble as Instagram now lets users know when someone takes a screenshot of their Stories.
So, how exactly can you save other’s Instagram Stories on your smartphone? Well, read on, as we show you how.
Step 1: To save other’s Instagram Stories on your smartphone, you will first have to download the ‘ Story Saver ‘ app from Play Store.
Step 2: Now open the Story Saver app and login with your Instagram account .
Step 3: After you have logged in to the Story Saver app with your Instagram account, you will see a list of all the accounts that you follow who have shared Instagram Stories. So that’s it. That’s how you can save other’s Instagram Stories on your smartphone. Oh, and apart from saving the Instagram Stories of the people you follow, you can also save the Instagram Stories of those who you don’t follow. This can be done by tapping on the ‘Search’ icon located at the top-right corner of the app. However, you will have to type in the exact Instagram handle, otherwise the search won’t return any results. And, even if you type in the correct Instagram handle, you will only see Instagram Stories if that account has shared any, which is very obvious.
