Kingdom Come Deliverance resolution has been recorded to be 1440p on the Xbox One X, and 1080p on the Playstation 4 Pro, which is odd considering it’s usually the other way around on non-premium models.
Even if it’s rather glitchy right now, there’s nothing to sneeze at when it comes to Kingdom Come Deliverance resolution, which is proving to be testing the bounds of the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 ever since it released yesterday. The game runs at 1440p on Xbox, and 1080p on Playstation 4.
Kingdom Come Deliverance is a product of Warhorse Studios, who have set out to make a realistic medieval RPG based in history, as the half-brother of the King of Bohemia invades the country to depose his brother and take the throne for himself. Players find themselves put in the place of Henry, a blacksmith’s son who sets out for revenge against the man who killed his parents.
Video games are constantly evolving in their technology in order to make worlds feel and look more realistic, ranging from shadows to god-rays to framerates and facial animations, so it’s not a big surprise that the Kingdom Come Deliverance resolution has been upped on both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 to look so good. And that’s not even getting into the power that will be running the game on the PC.
Another interesting thing about the game’s resolution is that the Xbox One (or, more specifically, the Xbox One X) has the higher resolution compared to the Playstation 4 Pro, its most direct counterpart. While the Playstation 4 Pro came out a year earlier than the Xbox One X, the X seems to be able to consistently deliver higher visual quality than the Pro.
Considering that Microsoft constantly advertised the Xbox One X as the most powerful console ever, even being on-par with top of the line PCs, that it’s able to run a higher Kingdom Come Deliverance resolution than the Playstation 4 is a good point in the Xbox One X’s corner.
If you want to play Kingdom Come Deliverance yourself and experience how good it looks, the game is currently available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
