This may not surprise you. Obviously, because this is not the first time that an instance like this has been reported — of an e-commerce store delivering something else instead of what was originally ordered. Soon after Nagrali discovered that he has got a detergent bar instead of the iPhone 8 that he ordered, the Mumbai based man decided to register a case of cheating against the e-commerce site with the local police.
Illustrating the entire incident to the local police, Nagrali said that the delivery was dated on January 22, at his house in Panvel in the neighbouring Navi Mumbai. Nagrali said that the full payment of Rs 55,000 for the iPhone 8 was made while placing the order itself.

Commenting on the matter Avinash Shingte, Senior police inspector at the Byculla police station, told PTI, “Nagrali approached us with a complaint yesterday, and an offence of cheating was registered against Flipkart.”
After the cheating case was registered, the e-commerce giant was approached for a statement on the incident to which a Flipkart spokesperson said that they have a zero tolerance policy on customer trust impacting incidents. “We are investigating the incident and will resolve the matter at the earliest,” notes the Flipkart spokesperson.
