With the S9 and the S9+ officially released, it’s about time to expect the next flagship device from Samsung. The device bearing the model number SM-960U – that suggests that it could be the Galaxy Note 9 – was seen on Geekbench database, adding to an earlier score that appeared on HTML5Test.
The device on Geekbench seems to be a US variant of the phone as it uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset instead of Samsung’s in-house Exynos processor; and the same as that found in the Galaxy S9. It also looks to have the same 6GB of RAM as the Note 8.
The prototype was notably tested with the latest Android 8.1 Oreo on the phone. Which should continue the trend of the Galaxy Note devices having a more recent operating system over the Galaxy S series.
It’s still very early to expect anything about the Note 9 from Samsung. If the company sticks to its regular schedule, the Galaxy Note 9 should be released around September this year.
