BUFFALO, Minn. — Police say a Minnesota teen taking her driving test crashed into a building.
Police in Buffalo, Minn., say the teen inadvertently shifted into drive instead of reverse and crashed through a brick wall and plate glass window at the start of the driving exam Wednesday.
Police Chief Pat Budke said the Chevrolet Equinox lurched forward, over the curb and right into the exam building, which is located in a strip mall. Buffalo is about 33 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
The passenger in the vehicle, a 60-year-old license examiner, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 17-year-old driver and those inside the building were not injured.
Damage to the building is described as significant.
Budke said no charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
