Samsung's first Android Go smartphone spotted before launch

An unannounced Samsung smartphone has been recently spotted at Geekbench and judging by its specs, this could be the South Korean company’s first Android Go handset…
Rumor has it, the phone will be launched on the market as Samsung Galaxy J2 Core, but we have yet to obtain an official confirmation. If this is indeed an Android Go handset, it should be initially launched in emerging markets, but a global rollout isn’t out of the question.
It looks like Samsung is the next smartphone company to jump on the Android Go bandwagon. The version of Android that’s been specifically designed to work on entry-level phones with 1GB RAM or less has been supported by many handset manufacturers lately. An unannounced Samsung smartphone has been recently spotted at Geekbench and judging by its specs, this could be the South Korean company’s first Android Go handset. The device goes by model number SM-J260G and packs just 1GB RAM and a quad-core Exynos 7570 processor. Another piece of information that suggests this might be Samsung’s first Android Go smartphone is the name of the motherboard – “.” More importantly, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo, which wouldn’t be possible if not for Android Go
