Here’s what to do if you don’t have access to a television.
It’s likely Riverdale fans are eager to tune into Wednesday’s episode following the conclusion of last week, which provided a glimpse into the identity of Black Hood. Season 2 has been heavily centered around the Black Hood’s vengeance over Riverdale’s sinners, causing the show to take a much darker approach than the lighthearted comics did. Likewise, K. J. Apa’s Archie has worked with Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) to crack the case.
Season 2 of Riverdale debuted October 11,2017, and resurfaced January 17 after its midseason premiere. Audiences with standard television access can tune into The CW to watch the show Wednesday’s at 8 p.m. ET. However, if you don’t have access to The CW by television, viewing Riverdale ’s forthcoming episode—“Shadow of a Doubt”—might be tricky.
Networks ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS and more offer live streaming capabilities through their respective websites or apps. However, The CW plays by its own rules.
To stream the network’s content live, fans would need to have a membership with YouTube TV and DirecTV Live. YouTube TV costs $40 a month, whereas DirecTV asks for $35 a month. DirecTV Live is only accessible in select cities.
Riverdale is additionally viewable on its air date via Hulu Live TV membership, which first launched in March. The premium feature comes at $39.99, but offers subscribers additional access to its collection of on-demand content and up to 50 hours of DVR storage. At this time, TechCrunch reported The CW’s live content via Hulu is only available in eight markets: Atlanta, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa. Hulu Live TV will add more cities to its program in time, according to Variety.
Hulu subscribers typically have the privilege of accessing shows they missed through the streaming service a day after it aired, but Riverdale doesn’t follow suit. Season 2 of Riverdale is not available on Hulu, and it won’t hit Netflix until later this year.

Fans that don’t mind waiting a day can rent episodes via iTunes and Amazon at $2.99 for HD and $1.99 for SD. The CW’s website and its official app allow audiences to view Riverdale ’s most recent episode after its air date free—no cable login is required.
