On Tuesday morning, CNN’s “New Day” anchors Alisyn Camerota and John Berman have omitted facts about the Eagles players’ actions during the national anthem.
“And remember, it’s not because the Eagles kneeled, because they didn’t kneel,” Berman said when discussing the cancellation of Eagles’ visit to the White House.
Camerota then asked, “They didn’t stay in the locker room?”
Berman then answered, “They did not. This is because the Eagles disagree with the President of the United States.”
Just because Eagles players didn’t kneel during the anthem, however, does not mean they weren’t protesting in other ways that comply with the NFL’s new rules.

Eagles safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod repeatedly raised their fists during the anthem.
Another Philadelphia player, Ron Brooks, who was cut prior to the beginning of the 2017 season, kneeled during the preseason.

Philadelphia has been one of the most outspoken teams about kneeling during the anthem and the president’s statements on the anthem.
