Galaxy J4 is now official. Samsung has launched the new Galaxy J4 in India today. The budget segment smartphone comes in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, while the second one comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The smartphone phone comes packed with a ‘Make for India’ feature called the Advanced Memory Management, which will help users free up phone memory space by automatically directing image or video content from social media to the external memory card.
As for the pricing, the base model of the Galaxy J4 (2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage) will be available for buying for Rs 9,990, while the second model (3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage) which is slightly pricey will be selling for Rs 11,990. Both the models of the phone come with an expandable storage of up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, which is capable of delivering vivid and colourful viewing experience claims Samsung. On top of the display, the phone has a 2.5D Gorilla glass which will protect the device from external damages. The ‘Make for India’ feature, Advanced Memory Management on the Galaxy J4 also helps users keep the device memory clean by deleting duplicate images received on social media messengers.
Samsung is vouching for the J4’s selfie camera. The smartphone comes with a LED flash paired with the selfie camera. The flash will let users click clear and detailed pictures in low light conditions. The users will be able to adjust the LED flash as per the ambient lighting conditions. On the rear, the Galaxy J4 sports a 13-megapixel image sensor paired with f/1.9 aperture, which will help users capture clear pictures in low light conditions.
On the software front, the smartphone runs the Android Oreo 8.0 operating system out-of-the-box. Hardware wise, the smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos processor coupled with 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
Galaxy J4 comes pre-loaded with Samsung Mall support like other budget segment Samsung phones. Samsung Mall basically lets users shop smart. Users can simply click a picture of a product they are interested to buy and Samsung Mall will automatically deliver related results for the product across popular e-commerce platforms. This will help users find the most worthy deal available on the product and save some money.

The smartphone also comes with a feature called App Pair. This feature opens a consumer-defined pair of apps simultaneously in two multi-windows, enables easier and faster multitasking. The Galaxy J4 also comes with Adaptive Wi-Fi feature, which helps turn Wi-Fi on and off automatically depending on the location. Samsung Galaxy J4 will be available in three colours — blue, black and gold.
