The domestic e-commerce marketplace is already running a webpage for the upcoming handset launch and also shows actor Tiger Shroff as a brand ambassador.
As part of the webpage, there are three video teasers that show an ‘Infinity Display’ a single rear camera along with a fingerprint sensor.
Previous reports have suggested that the handset is going to be called the Samsung Galaxy On6 and will feature a 4GB RAM and pack in a 64GB internal storage. There were also reports that the company may introduce ‘Chat over Video’ feature with the Galaxy On6. This feature will allow users to chat along with watching videos. As for the price, the handset is expected to be launched around Rs 15,000 price.
At this price, the handset will lock horns with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Nokia 6.1 and recently launched Moto G6 .
Another Galaxy smartphone in the works
Meanwhile, the company is also gearing to launch its flagship phablet, allegedly called the Galaxy Note 9, at its annual unpacked event on August 9 in New York.
As per the latest leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will feature SuperAMOLED Infinity Display. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm processor only for the US and South Korean markets, but for other markets — including India — it will be powered by company’s own Exynos processor. There are expected to be three models on the basis on storage — 6GB RAM+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB. All of them are said to support external microSD cards. The handset is expected to get a battery upgrade to 4,000mAh which has also led to the handset becoming a bit heavier than its predecessor.
