The man who blasted his way into the offices of a Maryland newspaper Thursday, killing at least five people, went to extraordinary lengths to disguise his identity — including damaging his fingerprints, sources said.
The shooter also wasn’t carrying any identification, according to the sources.
He is not cooperating with authorities, who arrested him without firing a shot.
The shooting at the Capital-Gazette newspaper is one of the deadliest mass shootings of journalists in recent years.
Terrorists killed 12 when they attacked the offices of a satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo in 2015.
Authorities have said they have not determined the motive for Thursday’s shooting at the Annapolis newspaper and that the investigation is ongoing.
