The four bodies missing after a duck boat capsized in southern Missouri have been recovered, raising the death toll to 17, the sheriff’s office confirmed Friday.
All 31 passengers — 29 tourists and two crew members — aboard the Ride the Ducks amphibious watercraft have been accounted for.
Fourteen people survived, including seven who were injured when the boat sank Thursday on Table Rock Lake in the tourist resort town of Branson, police said.
Children are among the dead.
Authorities blamed the tragedy on a storm that sent more than 60 mph winds whipping across the choppy waters, knocking over the boat, which can also be used on land.
It sank in 40 feet of water and rolled into depths of 80 feet.
