A civil suit will be filed Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of Justine Damond by a Minneapolis police officer.
A civil suit will be filed Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of Justine Damond by a Minneapolis police officer, according to the attorney representing her family.
Attorney Robert Bennett referred to Damond as Justine Maia Ruszczyk and said more details will be released during a 2 p.m. Monday press conference at his firm’s office building on the 21st floor of 333 South Seventh St. in Minneapolis.
Damond, an Australian woman, was fatally shot July 15,2017, after she called 911 to report a possible assault.
Former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor is charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in connection with her death.
