A Knightdale man was arrested Saturday evening in connection with a fatal shooting in Wendell hours earlier, authorities said.
Wendell, N. C. — A Knightdale man was arrested Saturday evening in connection with a fatal shooting in Wendell hours earlier, authorities said.
A passing driver found Malik Kahsim Dewberry wounded in his car in the 7000 block of Old Bunch Road shortly after midnight and called 911, authorities said.
Dewberry was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh, where he died.
Wake County deputies linked Torhi Jermaine High, 42, of 930 Laurel Breeze Drive, to the crime and charged him with murder.
No details as to a motive for the shooting or what evidence led to High’s arrest were released.
