Samsung is expected to launch the S10 series of phones at MWC 2019
Samsung launched the Galaxy S9 and S9+ phones at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this year. The successor to these Samsung phones will be the Galaxy S10 and S10+. We can expect Samsung to launch the S10 series of phones in MWC 2019, which is in Feb next year. The launch information, however, is yet to be confirmed by the South Korean tech giant. Rumours of the Galaxy S10 and S10+ have already started making rounds on the internet. The new rumour says that the Galaxy S10+ — the expensive model — will sport a dual-selfie camera.
Until now reports were that Samsung will launch two phones under its S10 series. But now, a new report coming from a Korean publication, The Bell suggests that the there will be three and not two phones. According to some industry sources, Samsung will be launching three S10 series phones, which are expected to be — Galaxy S10, and two Galaxy S10+ devices, one of which will sport a bigger display.
Out of the three phones, Galaxy S10 will be the base model and also cheaper. According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S10 will be codenamed ‘Beyond 0’. The smartphone will come with a screen size of 5.8-inch. The phone will boast of a Super AMOLED display. The rear panel of the phone will include two cameras each of 12-MP each. Out of the two, the primary camera will be dedicated for wide angle shots, while the secondary camera will have a telephoto lens. The Galaxy S10 will come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Alongside the S10, there will be two S10+ phones. Out of the two models, one will be codenamed Beyond 1 and come with a 6.2-inch curved Super AMOLED display. Beyond 1 will come with under the display fingerprint scanner just as the Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex. On the camera front, the Galaxy S10+ (Beyond 1) will sport triple cameras on the rear and single camera on the front. On the back panel, the Beyond 1 Galaxy S10+ will boast of a 12MP wide + 12MP telephoto + 16MP fixed-focus 120-degree super wide angle lenses. On the front, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ will come with a single front-facing camera.
The second model of the S10+ will reportedly come with codename Beyond 2 and be the most expensive model of the three. The Beyond 2 will come with a 6.44-inch curved Super AMOLED display and under the display fingerprint scanner. On the rear, the phone will include triple cameras with 12MP wide + 12MP tele + 16MP fixed-focus 120-degree super wide angle lens. On the front, the Beyond 2 will sport two selfie cameras.
As of now, there’s no information on the configuration of the two selfie cameras but reports suggest that it could be similar to that of the Galaxy A8 (2018), which is 16MP + 8MP camera setup.
Before the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung, right now, is prepping up to announce the most awaited flagship device of the year, the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 at the company’s Unpacked event.
