Samsung will seemingly offer ‘special sneak peek’ of the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone while introducing a new Galaxy device next week, the company says.
Samsung has sent out press invites to an August 1 event, which is a little over a week ahead of the Unpacked event where the Note 9 will make its official debut. The August 1 event will feature “brand new addition to the Samsung Galaxy device line-up” as wells as the chance to “hear about Samsung’s latest mobile offering and get a special sneak peek at what’s to come this summer.”
The company is encouraging fans to head to Samsung.com at 4pm UK time in order to see what’s coming, so what could Samsung have up his sleeve?
In terms of the gadget likely to be fully announced at the event, the smart money is on the Galaxy Tab S4, which has been rumoured in recent months. That Android-powered slate could be Samsung’s answer to the iPad Pro, arriving with much slimmer bezels and audio tuned by AKG. We’re also expecting the tablet will rely on retina scanning technology, rather than a fingerprint sensor.
It’s also possible the rumoured Galaxy J smartphone could be the subject of the August 1 launch.
However, the company has a number of devices in store beyond the Note 9. The Galaxy Watch is also scheduled be unveiled at the August 9 event. The firm is also rumoured to be launching a Bixby-based smart speaker to rival the likes of Apple HomePod and Google Home. That too has been tipped for Unpacked on August 9.
The Note 9 is the main event though. Samsung is already offering sneak peak of the device in a number of preview videos posted on July 26. You can check the trio out below.
