Kevin Graves has been missing since July 1.
OCEANA COUNTY, MI – A call for volunteers has been issued in the search for a man who went missing from the Electric Forest music festival nearly a month ago.
Shiawassee Search and Rescue conducted a search of the festival grounds for Kevin Graves Monday at Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury. It will return Saturday, July 28, and is asking for volunteers to help.
Kevin Graves, 28, of Highland Township in Oakland County was last seen the evening of July 1 at the music festival that was held at Double JJ. He had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend and said he was heading back to their tent, but was not there later, according to family members.
Graves’ family has been searching for him since he went missing and are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his return.
Volunteer searchers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. Saturday across the street from the Wesco store/gas station at 7588 S. Michigan Ave. in Rothbury.
They will be searching through woods and wetlands, so appropriate clothing, including socks and boots, is advised. Searchers also are asked to bring bug spray, bottled water, a walking stick, a charged cell phone and camera. Fluorescent clothing or vest as well as an extra set of clothing, especially socks, also are recommended.
Those who can bring rubber boots and/or waders are encouraged to volunteer.
Kevin Graves has blond hair and blue eyes and is about 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He has a USMC tattoo on his left shoulder, and his left ear is pierced.
The family has asked that anyone who believes they see Graves to take a photograph of the individual.
Anyone with information about Graves’ whereabouts is asked to call the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at (248) 848-4950, the Michigan State Police Hart Post (231) 873-2171 or Mason Oceana Central Dispatch (231) 869-5858.
