The Xiaomi Mi A2 is one of the most powerful smartphones you can buy that is also a part of the Android One family. It packs impressive specifications for its price and there are going to be certain features that are unique to it and are not going to be found in other devices, such as the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The handset from HMD Global is certainly one that will attract a lot of buyers, but there are a few things that it does not possess when compared to the Mi A2. Here are those five unique features.
Even though the Mi A2 has a slightly smaller battery than the Nokia 6.1 Plus, coming in at a capacity of 3000mAh, the fact that the charging process is supported by Quick Charge 4.0 is going to give the buyer a significant boost. Sadly, the device stamped with the Nokia brand name is only limited to Quick Charge 3.0, which is not a bad feature, but it is still inferior to what the Mi A2 is packing. Compared to Quick Charge 3.0, Quick Charge 4 is up to 20% faster, 30% more efficient while charging the phone up to 5-degrees Celsius cooler. The lowered temperature will also ensure a higher lifespan for not just the battery of the Mi A2, but for the rest of the components as well.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Review: Design and Build Quality – Raising Eyebrows
The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 636, while the Xiaomi Mi A2 features a Snapdragon 660. It is very obvious which chipset is the more powerful one, with the Snapdragon 660 using Qualcomm’s same Kryo 260 architecture as the one running in the Snapdragon 636, but the processor’s clock speeds are higher, leading to better performance during any day of the week. Additionally, the Snapdragon 660 is also armed with an Adreno 512 GPU, while the Snapdragon 636 and the Nokia 6.1 Plus feature an Adreno 509, so you can already guess with graphics processor will be giving you more performance yields.
Though the 16MP selfie camera of the Nokia 6.1 Plus is a great unit on its own, the 20MP shooter placed at the front of the Mi A2 is obviously better when it comes to optics. While more megapixels does not necessarily translate into a better camera, the Mi A2 is going to be your preferred weapon of choice if and when you want to pick up an affordable device that does significantly well in the camera department when looking at its price.
Though both smartphones feature a Type-C USB port, the one that comes with the Xiaomi Mi A2 is actually better and we will be explaining how. As we stated above, the power delivery of the Mi A2 is better than the Nokia 6.1 Plus, which is why it is able to charge faster. Both devices also support the USB 2.0 standard so when transferring data to and from both smartphones, you should not experience any significant speed differences. However, the fact that Xiaomi’s phone gives you more from this port means that it is a better device.
For a lot of buyers in the Indian smartphone market, having lots of colours to choose from is going to be making all the difference in the world. Some of these customers will often give preference to which colour the phone is available in rather than looking at how much performance it is packing underneath the hood. The Mi A2 is available in a total of five colours; Black, Gold, Blue, Red, and Rose Gold. Unfortunately, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is limited to just the Black, Blue, and White models.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is a terrific smartphone for its price but that does not change the fact that the Xiaomi Mi A2 will end up providing more options to the buyer in the short and long terms. If you want a device with reduced bloatware and unique features paired with an affordable price, the Mi A2 should be your next purchase.
