Officials said as many as six people could have died after a small plane crashed and burned shortly after taking off from a northern Oklahoma airport Saturday.
Kay County Sheriff Steve Kelley and Highway Patrol Lt. Kera Philippi do not know the number of passengers on the single-engine Extra EA400 plane, however, there were no survivors, Fox News reported. The Extra EA400 plane seated a maximum of six people.
The plane took off from Ponca City Regional Airport, around 90 miles north of Oklahoma City, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesman Lynn Lunsford said, Fox reported. (RELATED: 85 Injured In Mexican Plane Crash, No Injuries)
