Flipkart has announced that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be launched in India exclusively on its platform on September 24th.

Last month, Nokia introduced the 5.1 Plus ( first impressions) – the global variant of the Nokia X5 – in India, along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus ( review). While the company had revealed the pricing and availability of the Nokia 6.1 Plus, it refrained to reveal the same for the Nokia 5.1 Plus. However, the brand did say that the phone will be available at some point in September. Now, Flipkart has revealed the availability details of the smartphone for India.
Flipkart has revealed that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be launched exclusively on its platform on September 24th. The pricing of the smartphone will be announced on the same day at 2 pm. However, as of now, it’s not clear if the handset will be up for grabs right after its pricing will be revealed. If the rumour mill is to be believed, the Nokia 5.1 Plus could be priced under Rs 25,000 in the country.
To recap on the specs, the Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a 5.86-inch display with a resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone has a notch above the screen and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Powering the handset is a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, aided by 3GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 32GB, which can be further increased up to 400GB by inserting a microSD card.
Moving on to the camera features, the Nokia 5.1 Plus flaunts a 13-megapixel primary shooter at the rear, aided by a 5-megapixel secondary snapper. For selfies and video calling, the handset gets an 8-megapixel snapper. Software-wise, the Android One offering boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 3,060mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.
