Review: Kaskade puts on upbeat set at 'Electric Zoo: The Big 10' (Includes first-hand account)

On September 1, electronic music star Kaskade performed on the main stage at “Electric Zoo: The Big 10” at Randall’s Island Park in New York.

Kaskade it opened his set with the gorgeous “Cold as Stone,” and it was followed by his mix of Porter Robinson’s melodic “Language.”
He tipped his hat to the Red Hot Chili Peppers with “Under The Bridge,” which was incorporated as a neat medley with “Roses” from The Chainsmokers and ROZES. Other noteworthy tunes included “We Don’t Stop,” and his remixes of Lana Del Rey’s “Young & Beautiful” and “Never Sleep Alone.”
The inclusion of his Grammy-nominated “Atmosphere” was sheer bliss, especially since it is this journalist’s personal favorite Kaskade tune. It displays his wide range as a recording artist and electronic musician.
After the ethereal track “Last Chance,” Kaskade closed his set with “Last Chance” and the crisp yet impressive “Disarm You.” Kaskade proves that he is still at the top of his game musically, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon
The Verdict
Overall, Kaskade’s set at Electric Zoo in New York was upbeat and a great deal of fun. He was able to take his fans and listeners on a journey with his music over the years. He is worth seeing in concert or at festivals whenever he performs in town. He proved that is one of the best-loved DJs, remixers, and producers that the electronic music scene in America has known. Kaskade’s live show at Randall’s Island Park garnered two giant thumbs up.
