Just recently Sony has given confirmation over at the PlayStation Blogcast that PlayStation Experience won’t be taking place this year. Sad but ture.
If you were expecting to hear some good news regarding PlayStation Experience this year then you might be disappointed. Apparently, Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided that PlayStation Experience is not making a return this year.
Sony has confirmed the news that PlayStation Experience won’t be taking place this year. Speaking over at the PlayStation Blogcast, Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden said:

It apparently is a shocker for sure. It seems to be that everything is going pretty great then, why would Sony decide to PlayStation Experience that also serves as a marketing element for the company.
Apparently, that remains to be answered and According to Shawn Layden:
Spiderman for PS4 is certainly out and for the better. It has been nailing down the market and does not seem to stop at that. Now based on what Layden has to say, what we can gather is that they probably have very less stuff to actually show off.
So they have taken the apparent high road which is rather than holding an empty PlayStation Experience, they have decided to not hold it at all.
Days Gone on the other hand is something we all are looking down on, not just Sony.
