Popular Black Ops 4 Blackout battle royale streamers Dr Disrespect and TSM Viss discover a bug that allows players to shoot through rocks and kill opponents.
Nowadays, it is commonplace for games to launch with a few bugs, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is no exception. While the game offers players plenty, such as incredibly complex Easter eggs in Zombies and a true-to-form battle royale experience, the latter has had a handful of complaints, ranging from the day-one emote peaking to the recently unveiled shoot-through-rocks bug.
Of course, that’s not to say the Blackout battle royale isn’t fun or worthwhile, but the latest discovered bug has frustrated popular Black Ops 4 streamer Dr Disrespect, as he lost a match due to someone abusing the exploit, wittingly or not. It’s worth mentioning this glitch did come up some during the beta, but currently, it hasn’t spread far.
The aforementioned bug results in players being able to shoot through rocks and kill their opponents. It appears players need to shoot through the rock at a certain angle with the right placement, but it is an exploit that many could take advantage of, especially when another player is trying to take cover behind said rock. Check it out below:
It’s completely understandable why the loss would upset Dr. Disrespect, as many would expect more from a triple-A game with a $60 price tag. Nevertheless, development of a game is a complicated process, so something falling through the cracks happens. Regardless, it should hopefully be fixed soon, because this glitch makes even the best gun loadout pale in comparison to the exploit.
Still, Black Ops 4 is living up to the hype that surrounded it as the most anticipated game of the fall.
