Fortnite on Android doesn’t need an invite now, becomes available to all – Gaming News

The latest news is that the open beta version of Fortnite for Android doesn’t need an invite and as such, anyone can play now.
Till now, the global battle royale hit Fortnite needed players (who want to play on a compatible Android device) to sign-up for an e-mail invite for downloading the game installer from the website. After you’d signed up, you were redirected to the Epic Games login portal. If you didn’t have an Epic Games account, you logged in through PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Facebook or Google login credentials. Then, you selected a compatible Android device from the list and waited out for the e-mail invite to arrive.
But now things have changed. In fact, they have become easier.
Open beta version of Fortnite launched If you haven’t tried out Fortnite yet, you will have more flexibility playing it on an Android platform because the e-mail invite for which you had to wait before getting your hands on the game, has been scrapped by Epic Games.
The latest news is that the open beta version of Fortnite for Android doesn’t need an invite and as such, anyone can play now.
You would still need the installer from Epic Games’ website to download the game. The website also lists the compatible Android devices for Fortnite.
If you haven’t checked out Fortnite yet, here’s a quick brief about the game. Fortnite involves being para-dropped on an island with a number of players. It is a battle royale scenario where the last one standing wins. After landing on to the island, the player needs to collect weapons and supplies in the quest for survival. This very popular battle royale title reportedly earned $300 million within 200 days of its launch on Apple’s iOS platform.
Fortnite’s availability on major gaming platforms has helped it to expand its fan base. The game can be played on Android, Ios, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
