The Samsung Galaxy S9 set the bar high for smartphones in 2018. The Samsung Galaxy S10, codename (Beyond), will be the tenth-anniversary edition of the ‘S’ series for Samsung. However, it’s still unclear on whether or not the Galaxy S10 will even be called the Galaxy S10. Rumours have circulated indicating that the company may call it the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus or Galaxy S10 Max.
Following the usual trend, the Galaxy 10 smartphone will probably be launched in two variants, depending upon screen size and different memory and storage configurations. However, this is quite expected, but what was not is the leak which now reveals that the so-called Galaxy S10 will have a triple camera setup.
While this is definitely amazing news for the Galaxy S10, unfortunately, it isn’t the first to feature a triple camera setup. That award goes to the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone. According to the leak, the Galaxy S10 will have a triple camera configuration of 12MP+16MP+13MP with an aperture size of F1.5/2.4 for the wide-angle lens, F1.9 for the ultra-wide-angle lens, and F2.4 for the telephoto lens.
It’s too early to confirm exactly how this setup would function but one could always speculate. Perhaps the 12MP+16MP sensors would function as they would normally do on any phone with the third sensor of 13MP acting as the telephoto lens for magnification of objects. The primary sensor of the rear-camera setup of 12MP as well as the telephoto lens support Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This does look extremely promising and will steer more camera buffs in the direction of the Galaxy S10. If this is indeed true, it will be a huge upgrade over the Galaxy S9 in terms of its camera.
There have been a plethora of leaks surrounding the Galaxy S10. However, most of them are based on rumours and speculation with practically nothing, including its name, being confirmed by the company. There is a possibility that the device will support 5G networks and even have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Going by Samsung’s popular trend, it’s safe to say it will probably have a screen size of 6.0+-inches and a Super AMOLED display. So far so good, the company has managed to stay away from the popular notched display trend of 2018 when it comes to its flagship smartphones. It would be interesting if Samsung chooses to continue to stray away from the notch even with its Galaxy S10.

In terms of its chipset, it will definitely be making use of the upcoming Snapdragon and Exynos SoC. However, it’s too early to even know for sure what those chipsets would be like. There’s no doubt that the device will be available in different memory and storage configurations. In all honesty, perhaps a maximum of 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage will grace the Galaxy S10.
