Roman Reigns’ announced Monday night that he has leukemia and will have to step away from the WWE. Before he even stepped out of the ring, the waves of support from the world of pro wrestling began to roll in.
On the rare occasion that the scripted world of WWE is stuck by an unexpected real life event, barriers come down and the community comes together to embrace one of their own in their time of need.
Roman Reigns opened up Monday Night Raw to reveal that his 11-year battle with leukemia has seen the disease return. After he vacated the Universal championship, and embraced Shield compatriots Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, the outpouring of support began — starting with his cousins, The Usos, and covering many different eras of pro wrestling. These are just a few examples of the messages of support Reigns received on Monday night.
