With December coming up fast, it’s time for us to know the Game Awards 2018 nominees for all of the categories. They’re a wide variety of games ranging from RPGs to action games to sports and more, and all of them will be trying to get a wide variety of awards.
The various categories that each game is up for in the award show are many and varied. The games that are the Game Awards 2018 nominees include critically acclaimed Triple-A games like God of War, Spider Man, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Monster Hunter World, alongside VR games like Moss and Beat Saber. Other games that are also up for nomination include Donut County, Dead Cells, Into The Breach, Black Ops 4, Return of the Obra Dinn, and Octopath Traveler.
Other awards are also given out for the best performance given in a game (which included Christopher Judge in God of War and Bryan Dechart in Detroit: Become Human, who played Kratos and Connor respectively), along with the best esports player, coach, team, and commentator, along with the best event.
Along with all of these is the much-coveted Game of the Year Award, allowing gamers to pick what game they think would be the best out of all of the different video games that were released this year. These games include Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Celeste, Spider-Man, and Monster Hunter: World.
Considering how many good games have come out this year, there’s no telling which of the Game Awards 2018 nominees will come out on top in each category.
