Lava has launched a new Lava Z81 smartphone for the mid-budget phone buyers in India. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 9,499 and is available in two variants – 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. However, only the 3GB variant is available currently. The new Lava Z81 can be bought via both offline or online channels like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.

The Lava Z81 smartphone sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset clocked at 2GHz paired with PowerVR GE-class GPU. Buyers can choose between the 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants of the phone. Both the variants pack in same 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The phone runs Star OS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is supported by a 3000mAh battery. The phone comes with connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB 2.0 port, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors include a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone also supports Face Unlock.
Coming to the camera department of the phone, the Lava Z81 comes with a 13MP rear sensor with LED flash. At the front, there is a same 13MP sensor with LED flash. According to the company, the key highlight of the camera specs is the addition of the AI Studio Mode in both front and back camera for portrait clicks. Buyers will have the option to choose between Black and Gold colour options.
