From one search engine to another, visiting duck.com will now take you directly to the privacy-focused search engine rather than Google’s homepage. We don’t know how much this cost DuckDuckGo, if it cost anything at all.
If you’re sick of being tracked across the internet there are a number of things you can do including using privacy extensions in your browser, but one of the most simple changes you can make is often overlooked. Rather than carrying out searches using Google, give DuckDuckGo a try instead. And now it’s even easier to visit the privacy-focused search engine thanks to Google.
As The Verge reports, when Google acquired On2 Technologies back in 2010, it took control of Duck.
